Overview
- USQ’s Master of TESOL is designed to prepare you to become a leader in the field of English language teaching by extending your skills and knowledge in courses of the ways in which language is acquired, learned and used in a variety of contexts among a range of age groups.
- You will have the opportunity to deepen your study in the areas of language assessment, digital technologies and multimedia, applications to language and literacy assessment and language program management, and the finer skills in teaching younger learners and adults, incorporating skills for teaching curriculum in languages other than English. Through this degree you will also have the opportunity to complete a 20-hour TESOL practicum.
- Expand your understanding of the transformative role of education in society, and develop the skills to work through the contemporary challenges faced by educators in rapidly changing, diverse communities.
- Develop the skills to solve current issues in the education environment by using your own experiences as a backdrop to your studies, developing a research project based on your current workplace.
