Expand your community health and chronic illness understanding

USQ's Master of Health (Advanced Clinical Practice) is designed to further develop your specialised skills within your clinical practice. With emphasis on community health and chronic illness, this degree also offers the opportunity to develop expertise to promote resilience related to disaster experiences.

Study flexibility

If you are not sure whether you would like to complete an entire Masters degree, apply to study USQ’s Graduate Certificate of Health or Graduate Diploma of Health and take the credit from your studies to the Master of Health if you decide to continue studying.

This degree will enhance your career opportunities in the clinical practice field as a specialist. Interested in going onto further study? Successful completion of the Master of Health will qualify you to apply for PhD entry.

You may not have to pay your course (subject) fees upfront. FEE-HELP allows you to defer your fees until your income reaches a certain level.

You may also be eligible to receive financial support from Centrelink.

Entry Requirements

  • Completed a 3-year bachelor degree in a health-related field from an Australian or internationally recognised university, or equivalent.
  • or
  • Completed a minimum of one (1) years' professional work experience equivalent to a qualification at AQF Level 8.

English Language Requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Closing dates

Applying directly to USQ:

  • Semester 1, 2018 - applications close Monday 19 February, with semester 1 commencing on Monday 26 February 2018.
  • Semester 2, 2018 - applications close Monday 2 July, with semester 2 commencing on Monday 16 July 2018. 

Credit for previous study or work experience

You may be eligible for credit if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
