Computer Systems Engineering

USQ's Computer Systems Engineering degrees will launch your career in hardware and software design including applications using cloud-based and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Computer Systems Engineering involves computer network design, computer system security management, the design of systems with embedded micro-controllers and the design of computer games or simulators, such as flight simulators.

You will have access to state of the art laboratories such as the Computer Networking Laboratory, the Micro-processor and Digital Signal Processor Laboratory and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Laboratory.

  • USQ has extensive links with industry and you will have the opportunity to complete practical projects during your studies. Previous final year projects have included an intelligent vision system for wildlife monitoring, topology issues in wireless underground sensor networks, and reducing road fatalities through vehicular ad-hoc networks.
  • USQ’s programs are fully accredited by Engineers Australia, and are recognised worldwide.
