How it works

If you are a high school student in Years 9-12 in Queensland, it is time to put your pen to paper or fingers to keys and try your hand at songwriting.

Enter a song or two for your chance to win $1000 worth of music equipment, products or services of your choice. In addition to the overall winner there will be two runners-up, who will receive a prominent songwriting text and a $230 gift voucher to a music store of your choice.

A shortlist of entrants will be invited to attend a one-day songwriting workshop on Friday 12 July with USQ's Contemporary Music Lecturer, Mark Scholtes. Mark is an ARIA nominated and APRA award winning songwriter and recordings artist. It will be a fantastic day with the winners announced at the conclusion of the event.

Before entering, remember to read the terms and conditions and our helpful how-to-enter guide to make sure your submission is correct.

Enter now before the competition closes on Monday 27 May 2019 at 4.00pm.
