Online Music Industry Skill Development Workshop Series
Have you always wanted to learn how to write your own songs or improve the songs you are already writing? In this series of three one-hour workshops you will learn this incredibly valuable skill for any musician wanting to go that ‘next step’. Under the guidance of USQ’s Songwriting and Music Production Lecturer and active industry musician Mark Scholtes accompanied by other industry musicians, you will be given the tools to start writing and polishing your own songs.

Online Forum - The Music World Online – how to get noticed!
Tuesday 28 July 2020, 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm
Hosted by Mark Sholtes, and an exciting mix of industry guests, in this forum you will discuss how to navigate the online music environment in a post COVID-19 world. This workshop will give you a great insight to new and fresh ideas that can be put into practice by you in this new online world, and also as we return to the norm on the other side. This will be an open discussion session with an extremely experienced panel of active industry artists where you can learn from them and ask questions in an interactive workshop. Your host will also share with you, information about the other available upcoming workshops, mentoring opportunities and USQ’s songwriting competition.
Workshop - Sharing and Caring about your Creative Content

Now that you have written your song and created your music film clip, it’s time to upload your creation and share your talents with a group of caring professionals. In this final two hour session, Mark and Leonie and the team of industry experts will provide you with useful feedback to polish your musical performance and assist you in enhancing your music clip content.
