In this one hour live online Zoom workshop, APRA Awarding winning, ARIA Award nominated USQ Music Lecturer, Mark Scholtes, will guide your senior music students through the basics of songwriting. From a blank page to a creative concept, Mark will help your students unleash their inner creativity.
Mark's workshop will help to inspire your music students to explore their musicality and creativity.
With entries open for High School students in grade 9 - 12 in the USQ Get Songwriting Competition, this workshop is a perfect opportunity to guide your music students in their senior studies.
This one hour workshop will be delivered to your class via Zoom at a time that is convenient to you during school hours. Students can attend the Zoom session either as a group if they are at school or, in the current climate of social distancing, from home via the Zoom software.

Mark Sholtes is an ARIA nominate and APRA award winning songwriter and recording artist. His career to date has included collaborations with multiple Grammy winning producers Tommy LiPuma (Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis), and Larry Klein (Joni Mitchel), as well as internationally renowned artists and songwriters including Don Walker (Cold Chisel), The Veronicas, Iain Archer (Snow Patrol), Troy Cassar-Daley, and Wendy Mathews.
