The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is inviting students in years 10, 11 and 12 interested in a career in engineering to an information session via Zoom. Parents, Teachers and School Principals are most welcome to attend with their students. From civil, structuring and surveying, to mechanical and mechatronics, to electrical and power, agricultural and environmental, to automation and computer systems, attendees can learn about what is happening in the various industries that employ engineers and surveyors, including career opportunities and study options available.
Engineering and Built Environment are exciting and diverse careers where you can impact on the lives of everyday Australians and make a difference to millions of people in the world. Engineering and Built Environment are more than just the application of maths and science, they are about identifying and solving problems that affect all of us. Engineers and construction managers are in demand in industry sectors outside of traditional engineering fields (construction, manufacturing, mining, and agriculture), such as banking and financial services, technology and software development, policy and governments, academia and research, social enterprise and not‐for‐profit, hospitals and healthcare, building services, food processing and hospitality, and many more.
Recent USQ graduates and working professionals will share their experiences studying and working in industry.
