About the Workshop

In this workshop you will learn how to use various elements to create pendants, brooches and earrings with sterling silver and found objects using the landscape as inspiration. Choosing from a variety of pre-cast components, found objects, recycled materials and gems, participants will design one to two major pieces that will incorporate construction techniques such as rivets and multiple soldering to create a landscape.

Bring along as much material as possible – everything from silver, found objects, old jewellery that can be re-mastered and more. You will be introduced to low-tech processes to recycle metals such as cuttle-bone and broom casting, ingot making and forming techniques, as well as advanced sawing techniques and roller impression.

Estimated material cost  $120* plus cost of metals available from tutor
