Inspiring the engineers of tomorrow

Robotics, science and engineering enthusiast, Fraser Border, is making waves in the industry and inspiring others to find a career they love through education.

Graduating from a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) , Fraser is conducting research at USQ’s Centre for Agricultural Engineering alongside international robotics and agriculture companies.

‘I couldn’t imagine the same opportunities anywhere else. USQ offers a really personal experience. My career has been growing and growing and I didn’t think it was possible at my age.’

As a USQ student ambassador, Fraser had the opportunity to talk about his career with young people, and realised how much more he could contribute to the world of STEM. He launched his own technology and education start-up and has partnered with Queensland schools to assist to integrate real-world STEM technologies in their curriculum, and encouraging students to do well at maths and science.

‘Once I started exploring my passion I wanted to empower others to do the same. You can have a great career in STEM and tailor it to what you love.’
