Saif Ali began studying online in Pakistan to be close to his family but recently made the big decision to move to Australia to experience on-campus university life.
Despite a double degree being unheard of in his home country Saif was determined to combine business with the growing field of IT and enrolled in the Bachelor of Business and Commerce and Bachelor of Information Technology. He credits his family as being his biggest inspiration, instilling in him the value of education.
‘Education is something that’s going to build you as a good person. It will give you the edge and you will be able to earn a better income when you graduate.’
Saif will gain practical experience before entering the workforce by completing an internship as part of USQ’s Industry Experience Program with the Career Development team.
‘I’m aiming for the IT industry, something relating to information systems. IT can be a complex field, I want to be a sort of translator, take the knowledge from IT and help people in other departments to understand it.’
