  • Start your study journey with UniSQ’s Undergraduate Certificate of University Studies. Progress your studies in one simple step – study when and where it suits you, at your own pace, with all subjects offered online. 
  • This certificate prepares you for higher education studies and the professional workplace. You’ll gain skills required to research and write essays at university level and learn to effectively discuss, evaluate and communicate foundation concepts and processes to confidently enter the workforce.
  • Graduate with a university qualification after just four courses and have the option to continue to study an undergraduate degree or a Diploma program. 
  • Benefit from a flexible qualification, offered in all three trimesters, that can be completed in four months or be spread out throughout the year if you study part-time.

Further study

When you successfully complete your certificate, you will be ready to pursue most undergraduate degrees on offer at UniSQ, including a Diploma of Multidisciplinary Studies.

Entry requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older in the year of enrolment.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete 4 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per study period.

Once accepted into the certificate, you will need to complete online diagnostic tests in mathematics, e-literacy, and English communication skills to assist staff in determining your level of reading comprehension, written expression, and mathematical understanding.
