Please begin by visiting the RDM Portal - a central repository of USQ's Research Data Management resources.
To assist researchers to develop data management strategies, USQ has a Data Management Plan template. This template will guide your planning by identifying the areas of data management that you need to consider and address, and provide tools and information to help you understand the requirement. The plan is in a narrative style to enable inclusion of data management strategies in grant applications.
If you are unsure of what you need to do, or how to answer the questions on the Data Management Plan template, you can contact your Research Librarian, who will be able to guide you through the process and refer you to any services and resources you might need. Research data storage
As a researcher at USQ you have access to recommended research data storage to securely store, manage sharing and easily access your research data.

Research data transfer
Time to give email attachments a rest and smart collaborate by transferring data using eResearch data transfer services. As a USQ researcher you can easily, quickly and securely transfer files using QCIFs QRIScloud or Nextcloud client applications accessed by logging in using your USQ username and password.
USQ SurveysStaff and students now have access to USQ Surveys - a feature rich, user-friendly and reliable survey platform for administering surveys, online forms and online assessments. Watch this video to learn more.
Based on the popular open source software LimeSurvey, the free survey tool ensures data and metadata are securely stored on USQ servers, which aligns with relevant data management and privacy USQ policies, and Australian Commonwealth and State laws.
