The UniSQ Makerspace is a community space for hands-on making with new digital fabrication technologies and traditional crafts. The Makerspace can be used for class projects, research, personal projects and hardware prototyping. Currently, the Makerspace has 3D Printers, 3D scanner, soldering station, a badge maker, hand tooling, a sewing machine, craft materials and much more.

The Toowoomba Makerspace is located in R104, where you can find 3D printing, 3D scanning and electronics, and R302, where you can find sewing, vinyl cutting and crafting materials.
The R104 space is open for drop-ins during 10.00am - 2:00pm on weekdays. See the Library events page for more information.
When you visit:
- Use hand sanitiser or disposable gloves as directed when using equipment
- Observe physical distancing guidelines.
The UniSQ Makerspace community welcomes your participation and ideas. Share your expertise as a peer mentor, attend or offer a workshop or activity, donate or suggest resources for the space, or collaborate on our In Moov open source robot build.
UniSQ students and staff can request free on-to-one or small group consultations with the Makerspace Community Engagement Coordinator, for help with:
- 3D printing
- Hardware entrepreneurship (including prototyping)
- Maker skills (including textiles and craft)
- Electronics
- Request a Makerspace consultation

UniSQ Library supports the use and sharing of content made available with an open culture license, such as Creative Commons or Public Domain. This allows other users to revise, redistribute, repurpose, and share the resulting work.
