Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships Program

Applications for Round Four of the Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships (RRES) are now closed however please check the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) site regularly for updates on upcoming application rounds.

The Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships Program has been introduced to improve access to and completion of tertiary education courses for regional and remote Australians by supporting undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education and training students from Certificate IV to PhD level.

QTAC is the Scholarship Support Organisation for the Australian Government Department of Education and Training to deliver the Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarship Program.

The Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarship Program can provide:

funding up to $18,000 (based on course length and type of study or training)
additional funding of $500 to support an internship

Applicants must:

be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or New Zealand citizen residing permanently in Australia
have commenced their Eligible Course of Study in Semester 1 of 2020 and be continuing in Semester 2 of 2020 OR;
be commencing their Eligible Course of Study in Semester 2 of 2020
have a permanent home address in a regional or remote areas as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).

provide a written statement(max. 300 words) that describes an achievement that you are proud of
